FAQ

Questions people ask before a pilot

Short answers. If yours isn't here, the demo form takes two minutes.

What do workers need?

An Android phone or an iPhone with the Obrelier app (Google Play or the App Store) and a sign-in from you. Face verification is optional; there is always a non-biometric way to clock in.

Does it work without signal on site?

Clocking in and out needs a connection at that moment, because the clock-in is verified before it counts. Everything else in the app works with patchy signal. In practice workers clock in at the gate or site office where signal is fine.

Can a worker clock in from home?

No. Clock-ins are verified against the site, and attempts from elsewhere are refused with a clear reason.

What stops people clocking in for each other?

Each clock-in is tied to the person and to the device they clock in on. If something doesn't match, it shows up for the manager rather than quietly counting.

Is face recognition legal in Spain?

With explicit, recorded consent and a clear purpose, yes. Obrelier records the consent, lets the worker withdraw it in one tap, removes the biometric data on withdrawal, and keeps a non-biometric alternative so nobody is forced. We provide a processor agreement for your DPO.

How long does setup take?

A site takes minutes to create. Most pilots are live within a day of the kick-off call, with your real sites and crews.

Does it replace our payroll software?

No. It produces the hours and payslip lines, and exports them for your payroll bureau, gestoría or payroll system.

What does the assistant see?

Only your company's data, read-only. It never receives contact details or identity numbers, and every company has a monthly usage allowance.

Can managers use it in Spanish?

Yes. The dashboard runs in Spanish, English and Urdu, the worker app in Spanish and English, and the assistant answers in whichever language you write.

Do UK employers have to record working hours?

Since 1 January 2024 you don't have to record each worker's daily hours if you can show you stay within the working-time limits, but you must keep adequate records for two years. Verified clock-ins on site give you that record without a timesheet.

Can it help with a fire roll call?

Yes. Start an evacuation from the site page and everyone clocked in on that site gets an urgent alert with the assembly point, taps I'm safe, and you see who hasn't. It supports your emergency procedure; it doesn't replace it.

What happens after the pilot?

If you continue, the €990 is credited in full toward year one. If you don't, we export your data and delete the account on request.
